The Wahl Clipper Corporation, a leader in the professional and home grooming industry, has announced the launch of a grooming destination website for pets. The site,, is unique in that it targets those who currently groom their pets but also pet owners who consider their pets a part of their family.

Wahl’s website addresses the grooming needs of 175 breeds of dogs acknowledged by the American Kennel Club, with grooming techniques for each specific breed. Visitors are able to select grooming information based on bred and also by dog size and length of hair.

Shay Moeller, product manager for Wahl’s home pet products division, shared, “There’s a lot of information on pet grooming out there, but no single source for the multitude of grooming activities, such as bathing, brushing, clipping and ear and toenail maintenance. We’re making it easier for people to get the basics on all things grooming, while going one step further in allowing people to learn the proper grooming techniques for their specific breed.”

The website was designed by HY Connect, which is an advertising, public relations, and social media agency with Milwaukee and Chicago-based offices.

Some of the sections on the new website include “Ask the Expert,” an area to post grooming-related questions and get answers from Suesan Watson, a certified master groomer, along with articles and product suggestions. Realizing that a grooming regimen for pets is often done regularly, the new Wahl site allows people to register their pet and post grooming activities on a personal calendar. As a result, users can check when their pet is due for bathing, brushing, or clipping.
