The Pet Industry's Leading Resource for News & Content Distribution

SUNNYVALE, Calif. (November 17, 2015)DOGTV, the first and only television network created just for dogs, today announced its collaboration with seven other pet brands, in a goal to help dogs find a home this holiday season.

The channel, together with seven other pet brands: Pet Plan, IC Pooch, Hotdog Collars, Positively Woof, Posh Puppy Boutique, Three Dogs Bakery, and PetHub, have teamed up to create one of the largest contests ever done on Facebook, to select 12 dogs who will star in a special printed 2016 dog calendar. The calendar will be on sale to the general public before Christmas and all profits will be donated to two well-known nonprofit organizations – Pet Orphans and Morris Animal Foundation.

“As a leader in this fast growing pet well-being market segment, DOGTV is proud to bring together market leaders, in order to serve such an important cause,” said Gilad Neumann, CEO of DOGTV. “We are committed to join forces and use our collective influence to reach millions of dog lovers around the nation, and to give back to the animals we care so much about. We hope that with this unprecedented social media collaboration, we will be able to help our four-legged friends and make sure that many abandoned dogs will have a happier new year.”

To enter the calendar contest, participants can go to any of the mentioned companies’ Facebook pages. Winners will receive great prizes including hi-tech gadgets for their dog (by IC Pooch and Hachiko), tasty treats (from the Three Dog Bakery), gift cards to numerous pet shops (Posh Puppy Boutique, Hot Dog Collars, Bark Box), and more. Voting ends December 4, 2015.
