SEATTLE (January 14, 2015) – PetHub, Inc., the leader in innovative tools to get lost pets home fast, will be showcasing its latest product integration with the VetData.net Marketplace™ at the 2015 North American Veterinary Community (NAVC) Conference, held January 17-21, 2015, in Orlando, FL.
At a time when one in three pets will go missing at some point in their lives, PetHub’s suite of products and services utilize the most advanced technology to get pets home safely and quickly. The company’s versatile tags combine the most effective elements of lost pet prevention and recovery tools and have proven invaluable to both pet parents and veterinarians alike.
To that end, PetHub will highlight its most cutting-edge, comprehensive lost pet recovery system at its conference booth. The Marketplace was created by Veterinary Data Services, Inc., to seamlessly connect veterinary clinics with their business partners. PetHub will demonstrate how easily the integration through the VetData.net Marketplace will allow veterinarians to search for any pet on file in their practice software, type in the PetHub tag ID, and quickly send home a registered, protected pet in seconds.
“Recent statistics show that only 10 percent of dogs and cats are microchipped and of that 10 percent, 58 percent are unregistered or have out-of-date contact information,” says Tom Arnold, CEO of PetHub, Inc. “That may be because the process seems overly complicated or overwhelming. This partnership offers the most comprehensive and affordable lost pet recovery system in an easy-to-integrate, simplified manner for both veterinary clinics and their clients.”
The program works by linking physical ID tags to pet’s profiles and PetHub’s free 24/7 Found Pet Hotline. These profiles can include information like multiple emergency contacts, license and rabies tag numbers, microchip data, and critical medications. Veterinary practices can integrate their patients’ PetHub profile with their chart through the clinic’s own practice management software and VetData.net’s customer support will walk the office through the Marketplace process. Online training is also offered for additional staff, and for every PetHub ID sold, the practice will earn at least $10 and a “Dog is Good® Dollar” (gift certificate) through the VetData incentive program.
“We realize how scary and upsetting it is to lose a dog or a cat and we want to make it as easy as possible for veterinary clinics to register their clients’ pets and assist in getting them home quickly,” says Lorien Clemens, Director of Marketing at PetHub, Inc. “Because our programs allow for so many seamless ways to locate a pet, 97 percent of PetHub recovered pets are home in less than 24 hours.”
Installation of the PetHub sync software typically takes 15 minutes and is installed by the clinic itself through a VetData-guided process. Once installed to the server computer (and as many workstations as the practice would like), PetHub representatives will demonstrate how to register new users and link PetHub tags.
The VetData and PetHub support staffs are available for both questions and technical issues. No new hardware or software is needed and the VetData.net’s Marketplace works seamlessly with Advantage™, AVImark™, AVImark SQL™, Complete Clinic™, Cornerstone™, DVM Manager™, DVMax™, HVMS™, ImproMed Infinity™, IntraVet™, IntraVet SQL™, ViA+™, and V-tech Platinum™ practice management software programs.
