The Pet Industry's Leading Resource for News & Content Distribution

Pet Product News International recently released their listing of 25 pet industry people to watch for, for better or worse, in 2012.
Some of those making the list include Petmate’s Larry Baab, who came to the company as executive vice president of marketing and new product development, has stated his goals are defining Petmate’s brands and ensuring consistency in product presentation. He plans to increase sales through new product innovation and/or acquisitions.
The H.H. Backer trade show this past October found Chet Bryant sparking interest as the sales director for Renaissance Aquatics. Bryant was offering tank-raised flame angelfish to the industry via an exclusive deal with an unnamed Asian source. By early 2012, the two companies are expected to bring another tank-raised Angel species to market. For this reason, Bryant appears on the List of 25.
Some others included are Dara Foster, pet fashion stylist and television personality, Ruth Jeffers as the chairperson of the World Pet Association (WPA), Wayde King of Acrylic Tank Manufacturing, and Michael Levy, President of Pet Food Express.
A former United States Marine officer and owner of American Pet Registry, Inc., Marcus Richmond is running for a seat in Congress on the Republican ticket and will be seeking pet industry support. Bob Vetere, President of the American Pet Products Association(APPA) will continue promoting pet products, his newly released industry book, and presiding over the Human Animal Bond Research Institute.

Rounding out the list are Bob Angstead, Michael Baker, Randy Boyd, Alfred Glander, Jim Glassford, Moe Howard, Kostas Kontopanos, Susana Della Maddalena, Angela Merkel, Lucy Postins, Marcus Richmond, John Roberts, Alan Ronay, Mark Teixeira, Brett Weinmann, Audrey Urda, and  Mike Schlegel.
