The 15th Annual Pet Fair Asia, to be held October 11 through 12, 2012, at the Shanghai World Exhibition & Convention Center in China, has announced a collaborative relationship with Petfood Industry magazine.
During the conference, topics of pet food safety, pet nutrition, and the latest technology to the Chinese pet industry will be discussed. Pet Fair Asia allows international brands to come together so that manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, distributors and agents in China can meet with one another. During the two-day event, brand awareness among pet owners is expected.
As part of the conference, an online pre-appointment system is being promoted by Pet Fair Asia so that exhibitors and visitors can review buyer details and exhibitor information in advance. The goal of this system is to provide maximum networking opportunities, according to the official website.
In a report published by Euromonitor International, China is the seventh fastest-growing pet food market, with a projected 7.7 percent compounded annual growth rate through the year 2015. Euromonitor predicts the Chinese pet food market will reach $476 million dollars in sales by 2015. Petfood Forum conferences have been held every year for nearly 20 years in Chicago, Illinois.
