SEATTLE (February 3, 2014) PetHub, the world’s fastest way to get lost & found animals home again, announced today the launch of its “Found Pet Hotline” call center support in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The phone number is a UK exchange allowing a free phone call to PetHub’s call center to help look-up a found pet’s critical information. The number is printed on specially-selected PetHub digital ID tags and requires no additional fees for the service.

“Just like in the U.S., we’ve had a great response to our products and services in the United Kingdom,” said Tom Arnold, Founder & CEO of PetHub, Inc.  “Our free basic phone number service was originally available only in the U.S. and Canada. Now we’re excited to offer the same free service in the U.K.”

To avoid monthly or annual fees charged by other recovery services, PetHub built the cost into the price of the tag itself. The call center allows anyone finding an animal to quickly help return the dog or cat home again.

In the U.S. alone, once an animal goes missing, less than 2% of cats and less than 18% of dogs return to their original owners. PetHub’s service has drastically improved an animal’s chances of getting back to its family. “For the past 2 years, 96.2% of the PetHub ‘pack members’ that went missing were home again in less than 24 hours,” said Lorien Clemens, Director of Marketing at PetHub, Inc. “31% of those animals were home in under 12 hours, many times before the pet guardian even realized the animal had gone astray.”

The Service
PetHub’s service provides a free Internet web account for pet owners, unlimited pet profiles, and the ability to link one of PetHub’s or PetHub’s partners’ ID tags to an animal’s profile.  The profile shows important information about the animal, including multiple emergency contacts, veterinary records, medical insurance policies, critical medications, dietary needs, and much more, all safely encrypted, password protected, and visible only when the owner permits.
