CHANTILLY, Va. (July 8, 2015) – i4C Innovations Inc., dba Voyce, a wholly owned subsidiary of Intersections Inc. (INTX) and the creators of the Voyce Health and Wellness Management System™, will launch Voyce Pro™ – the latest innovation in veterinary wellness monitoring – at the 2015 American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) Conference in Boston, MA, being held July 10-14.
Developed in collaboration with biomedical engineers, veterinary experts, and Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, the Voyce Pro Wellness Monitoring Program™ enables remote observation of canine patients’ key vital signs, including resting heart and respiratory rates, and other important wellness indicators using the Voyce Health Monitor™. Such indicators include intensity of activity, calories burned, distance traveled, quality of rest and more.
“Voyce Pro can provide an entirely new level of personalized and remote care for veterinary patients,” said Jeff Noce, President of Voyce. “Working collaboratively with members of the veterinary community, we have created the Wellness Monitoring Program exclusively for veterinary hospitals, which offers objective health data about individual canine patients reported daily – thus providing valuable insights to help identify and manage a variety of health issues.”
The Voyce Health Monitor is prescribed to patients and is worn comfortably around the dog’s neck. Hospital staff have the ability to set customized data parameters for each patient and the Voyce Pro Wellness Monitoring Program will alert the veterinarian if the key vital signs and wellness indicators move outside of those set parameters. Objective data collected from the Voyce Health Monitor will sync with the interactive and user-friendly Veterinary Dashboard – easily accessible from any web-enabled device – which provides access to information about each patient enrolled in the Voyce Pro program.
From the dashboard, veterinarians can manage their hospital’s Voyce Pro profile, view patient data, and easily identify which patients may need attention. Separate lines identify each enrolled patient and are expandable to reveal complete patient detail, including profile information, alert history, notes, access to trending graphs and more.
“What I like about Voyce Pro is that in conjunction with exam findings and diagnostics, the program provides a more comprehensive view of a patient’s ongoing health status,” said Amanda Landis-Hanna, DVM and Director of Veterinary Medicine at Voyce. “Voyce Pro helps identify and manage acute and chronic health issues, so that veterinarians can quickly develop customized treatment plans. Voyce Pro will truly enhance the level of patient care within the veterinary community.”
Voyce Pro can help identify and manage issues such as:
|▪ Heart disease
▪ Joint disease
▪ Respiratory disease
▪ Heartworm treatment
▪ Obesity or weight management
▪ Pre or post surgery monitoring
|▪ Exercise tolerance
▪ Neuromuscular disease
▪ Physical rehabilitation
▪ Spinal disease
▪ Anxiety or behavior concerns
In addition, Voyce Pro can help educate clients, remind them of medications and appointments, and support veterinarian recommendations to increase compliance. The interactive Voyce Wellness Management Center allows clients to track health trends, set goals and reminders, and store medical records. The Wellness Management Center also offers a dependable, reliable source of accurate and educational content for clients, such as articles and tips from leading pet experts.
