PORTLAND, Ore. (January 16, 2014) – Women in the Pet Industry Network (WIPIN) is holding its second annual contest for the creation of the cover for its Top Women in the Pet Industry Spring Magazine. The semi-annual digital publication has reached more than 1.8 million since fall 2012. Contest deadline is Feb. 5, 2014.
Cover submissions can be created using photography, drawing, painting and/or graphics. Contest submissions should have a spring-summer flavor and follow a “spring into action” theme.
The winner of the 2013 Cover Contest, Lauren Spencer of Fetching Communications, said, “More than 20,000 pet professionals [in our own network], including industry peers and potential clients, saw our cover! Winning the cover contest was a catalyst for success and really set the tone for the rest of the year. Thanks again, and good luck to all of the 2014 cover contest entrants.”
The benefits for the 2014 Cover Contest winner include: exposure at major 2014 pet industry events, including: Blog Paws, Total Pet Expo, the WIPIN “It’s All About Growth” Conference, Pet Sitters International Conference, American Pet Dog Trainers Conference and Bark World; publicity garnered from press releases about contest winner sent to traditional and social media; and two pages inside the spring magazine itself.
Finalists will be determined by public Facebook voting, and the winner will be selected by WIPIN member votes. The deadline for submissions is Feb. 5, 2014 and the Cover Contest winner will be announced Feb. 14, 2014.
