Colgate-Palmolive has reported a seven year growth rate revenue of 6.6 percent, with a seven yar EPS growth rate of 11.5 percent, dividend yield of 2.52 percent, and a seven year dividend growth rate of 13.1 percent.  Colgate-Palmolive is a company that manufactures consumer products and focuses on personal hygiene, oral care, and pet nutrition.

Founded in 1806, Colgate-Palmolive has a market capitalization of $44 billion. The company has two business segments (oral/personal/home care and pet nutrition) and has five business divisions because their oral/personal/home care sector comprises four geographic sectors.

The North American division comprises 19 percent of total company sales, the Latin American division with 27 percent of sales, another 21 percent of sales in the European/South Pacific division, and the Asia/Africa sector representing 19 percent of all sales.

 

As part of the pet nutrition sector, the Hills segment comprises 14 percent of all sales. Colgate-Palmolive is optimistic about growing this sector geographically.

According to a report from SeekingAlpha.com, Colgate-Palmolive continues with a consistent growth rate, with oral care sales representing 43 percent of total sales worldwide, personal care representing 22 percent, home care another 22 percent, and pet nutrition making up 13 percent of the total sales for Colgate-Palmolive worldwide.

Reports reveal that the company spends almost $2 billion a year on advertising, with their dividends yielding 2.52 percent and substantial dividend growth.
