The Pet Industry's Leading Resource for News & Content Distribution

PORTLAND, Ore. (December 5, 2013)Women in the Pet Industry Network (WIPIN), a leading organization focused on women entrepreneurs in the ever-growing pet industry, is currently seeking experts to share their knowledge and expertise at WIPIN’s All About Growth Conference & Awards Show in Portland, Aug. 14-16, 2014.

“Our goal is to help women entrepreneurs grow their pet businesses by providing a myriad of networking opportunities, online resources and educational growth meetings,” Shawna Schuh, president of WIPIN, said. “We’re seeking speakers who can help WIPIN meet this goal and continue to offer our members invaluable advice and experiences to help them succeed in the pet industry.”

The first-ever The Start of Something Big! Conference & Awards Show, which spanned three days this past August, connected members from across the nation. Two dozen dynamic speakers delivered captivating and enlightening presentations on business growth; strategic partnerships; effective marketing and promotion; and the importance of inspiration, motivation and laughter.

“The business-to-business partnerships that were forged at the conference continue to grow and thrive,” Schuh added.

Attendees, too, speak with enthusiasm about their first WIPIN conference experience.

“I attend animal-related conferences on a regular basis and I must say that WIPIN 2013 was one of THE most inspirational and amazing conferences I’ve ever attended,” Kathy “Kat” Albrecht, founder of Missing Pet Partnership, said. “It was like one family, united in a shared goal to help support each other through the struggles of being a women business owner. If you’re working in the pet industry, this is an experience that you won’t want to miss.”

“I met some of the most amazing women at WIPIN when I spoke in 2013,” Yvonne DiVita, co-founder and CEO of BlogPaws, said. “As conferences go, this one is a must-attend if you’re a woman who loves pets, and if you’re a speaker – you’ll not only make fantastic connections, you’ll be participating in a weekend of learning, excitement and inspiration.”

WIPIN invites speaker proposals for the following overall categories for its 2014 conference:

  • Developing effective business strategies
  • Mastering marketing, PR and social media
