SEATTLE (March 10, 2016) – Blue Dog Bakery will return to Global Pet Expo for its 5th consecutive year as an exhibitor, putting a full-court press on the competition. Showcasing the latest additions to its line of healthy treats for dogs, Blue Dog Bakery will make a fast break from other exhibitors with its hoops-themed booth that will coincide with first week of the NCAA basketball tournament and March Madness.
Global Pet Expo 2016, which will be held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida from March 16 to 18, is the largest pet industry trade show in the world. Presented by the American Pet Products Association (APPA), the event features over 3,000 booths and gives retailers a sneak peak at the industry’s most current products.
Grain Free Goodness
Pet owners have become increasingly conscious about the health of their pets, frequently mimicking diet trends of their own. Blue Dog Bakery supports their consumers’ needs by baking premium treats that are made in the USA with no artificial ingredients, and this time – grain free. Grain Free Large and Grain Free Small Paws, both peanut butter and molasses flavor, hit grocery store shelves in January 2016. Made with pea flour and chickpea flour, these fresh baked biscuits are the ideal reward for dogs with sensitive stomachs, dietary restrictions or allergies – as well as those simply looking for a tasty snack. According to Eric Koppelman, VP of Sales & Marketing for Blue Dog Bakery, “Our grain free items are as tail-wagging delicious as our wheat-based treats and extend our product offering to include dogs that may have dietary restrictions or their owners who have, themselves, gone gluten-free.”
The New Product Showcase, a key destination and highlight for buyers, provides exhibitors with the opportunity to feature their newest products, and, in turn, gives the pet community a preview of the industry’s hottest trends for the coming year. Blue Dog Bakery will be showcasing its two Grain Free items, which just recently launched in January 2016.
Ruffy Shoots, He Scores!
With NCAA March Madness tipping off the same week as Global Pet Expo, the Blue Dog Bakery booth (#875) will keep attendees active with ongoing pop-a-shot play, NCAA coverage and, as always, dog treat eating. “We love to engage with attendees and other exhibitors in fun, playful ways – much like our brand,” says Lara Gusa, Brand Manager for Blue Dog Bakery. “This year we are taking engagement one step further to create an interactive booth that is both inviting and memorable.”
Additionally, Blue Dog Bakery will host happy hour on Thursday, March 17 from 3-6pm at their booth (#875) – making their presence at this year’s Global Pet Expo a slam-dunk for success.
