BlogPaws, the first online pet community to establish an offline social media conference, has announced the addition of three new staff members to the team.
Kristin Dewey was brought on as Special Project Manager this year. Dewey is also an active pet blogger, professional contract blogger & social media consultant. Kristin brings a wide range of skills and insight gleaned from 20 years of film and television location management and special event planning. “Cokie the Cat: Hollywood Insider” is her bohemian Ragdoll cat’s popular blog, written in his voice, from their Hollywood Blvd. apartment. Cokie champions Special Needs Pets, since he is one (long story involving an 80’ palm tree, resulting in him wearing pants – make that ‘rocking’ pants) and has 5300+ Twitter followers.
Carol Bryant was appointed to the role of PR Manager. “A dog lover of the highest order,” is how Gayle King introduced Carol Bryant when she and her Cocker Spaniel appeared on Oprah Radio’s Gayle King show to dish dogs. Carol has traveled with dogs for almost 20 years and is touted as a dog product and travel expert. As guest speaker at conferences and seminars about dog products and travel, she also has a passion for growing social media and helped one client land the “best dog blog” honor. A repeat nominee from the Dog Writers Association of America and writer for Dogster, she also works with Mass Media PetPR and maintains her own dog blog, Fidose of Reality.
Robbi Hess is the Blog Manager for BlogPaws. Robbi is a professional blogger, social media manager, copy (and ghost) writer. She is a former journalist, magazine and book editor who has turned her love of words and of animals into a career. She also provides social media and blogging services and content for several client and blogs on her own sites: www.robbihess.com and www.mydivasdish.com.
She is the author of the soon-to-be-released book, Social Media 101 For The Pet Lover.
