Rachael Millar Elected to Bideawee Board of Directors
New York, New York, November 20, 2017 – Bideawee, a leading animal welfare and pet adoption organization serving metropolitan New York and Long Island, and one of America’s oldest no-kill animal rescues, today announced that Rachael Millar has been elected to the Bideawee Board of Directors.
“We are pleased to welcome Ms. Millar to the Bideawee Board of Directors as she has been a supporter of Bideawee for several years, and prior to her election served as a member of the Real Estate Committee,” stated Joseph L. Sorbera, Jr., Chair of the Bideawee Board of Directors. “She shares our same passion for helping animals. Prior to moving to New York City in 2015, she was involved with no-kill shelters in Singapore and Hong Kong, and is the proud mom to three dogs adopted from Asia.”
Ms. Millar has worked for a variety of global banks over the span of 20 years and has lived in London, Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan. She has worked at Barclays for more than ten years where she has held a number of leadership roles across real estate, technology and business operations. She currently serves as the Director of Capital Projects Americas, part of Corporate Real Estate Solutions division of Barclays. Prior to that role, she was Regional Chief Operations Officer of Corporate Real Estate Solutions for Asia Pacific.
Ms. Millar received her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Trinity University.
