PetHub Announces New Chief Executive Officer
July 7, 2021 – Wenatchee, WA – PetHub, Inc. today announced that Lorien Clemens, co-founder and former COO, has been selected as PetHub’s new Chief Executive Officer starting July 1, 2021.
Tom Arnold founded PetHub in 2010 serving as the company’s CEO & CTO. This move by the company allows him to focus primarily on his Chief Technology Officer duties.
“At PetHub we believe in taking the time to ensure we have everyone in the ‘right seat,’” said Arnold. “My passion and core strengths are in technology, and my goal is to always take our company to the next level of tech. Having juggled the two roles of CEO and CTO for so many years, it is a relief to have someone so capable of taking over the critical role of chief executive.”
“I am honored to be chosen as PetHub’s new CEO. It has been a privilege to be a part of this company and see how far we have come,” said Lorien Clemens. “We’ve built an industry-leading platform for digital pet identification as our first application. I’m excited to lead our incredible team into the next phase of PetHub’s growth to fully realize the PetHub vision of becoming a central platform that puts pets at the center of all aspects of their life.”
Clemens led the company’s pivot in 2016 that helped to bring PetHub digital pet license and rabies tags into over 650 communities within the United States and 750,000 pets onto the site. She has also guided PetHub to its wins of multiple pet industry awards for PetHub’s unique digital ID tags and online services.

About Tom Arnold
Tom Arnold envisioned PetHub in 2008 and left Microsoft in late 2009 to start the company to create an ecosystem for pets, pet owners, and marketplace for pet businesses. After realizing the platform was such a huge innovation, he worked to scale it back to solving an important problem first: getting lost pets home fast. The goal was to solve that problem first and then re-introduce the broader plan as time allowed it to unfold. Arnold’s passions are in tech with a Computer Science degree from Purdue University, author of three books on software development, and founder of 3 tech start-ups with successful acquisitions.
PetHub, Inc., was started in 2010 to combat the issue of low RTO (“return to owner”) rates for lost animals. Combining software with a physical ID tag allows anyone to help a lost animal get home quickly, often avoiding a trip to a vet or a shelter. 96% of PetHub recovered “pack members” are home again in under 24-hours, and before ever entering a shelter. PetHub’s award-winning platform has multiple software and hardware patents pending on its ID tags and Internet services. The company’s tags are now in over 650 communities in the United States as their pet license or rabies tag, and 750,000 pets are now members of PetHub.com.
