Kuranda Dog & Cat Beds Announces Fun Fido Files “Identity Crisis” Photo Contest

Glen Burnie, MD. (May 24, 2016)Kuranda Dog & Cat Beds (Kuranda), the company known for creating the orthopedic, chew-proof dog beds used in hundreds of shelters and rescues across the country, is giving pet owners the chance to win a free Kuranda dog bed in the fabric and color of their choice through the Fido Files, a unique online photo contest.

In the Fido Files, Inspector Bones is the Kuranda detective, visiting the homes of humans to solve pet mystery cases.

“Pet parents are notorious for catching their pets doing funny and cute things on camera,” said Beth Klein at Kuranda. “Our contest within Fido Files invites pet parents to share those moments in time when their dogs sleep in human spaces, without their humans beside them, hence having what we are playfully calling an ‘identity crisis.’ The gaming chair, the living room couch, the kids’ bean bags…these are some of the spots where pets will try to get comfortable.”

“When a dog doesn’t have a bed for itself, the dog will sleep anywhere, even when it may not be the most comfortable,” said Klein. “Kuranda beds are very comfortable and provide an elevated place to rest. There’s no stuffing to collect allergen-harboring dirt or dander, and pet owners find that the beds are preferable to fancy furniture or a cold floor.”

Beginning today, May 24, 2016, pet owners can participate in the “Identity Crisis” themed Fido Files photo contest by submitting photos of their dogs at this link. The winner of the “Identity Crisis” contest will be announced on June 14, 2016 on Kuranda’s Facebook page. Fans of Kuranda’s social media pages can keep track of more Fido Files contests on Facebook and Twitter pages and by signing up on the Kuranda website to receive an email alert.

In addition to giving away a free bed to the contest winner, Kuranda will also donate five percent of all contest participant sales made through the “Shop Here” link on the Fido Files webpage to Service Dog Project, a non-profit organization in Ipswich, Massachusetts that has donated over 100 Great Danes as service dogs to individuals who have severe balance and mobility limitations.
