FWV Announces New Executive Hires in Pet & Veterinary, Consumer, Travel & Tourism and Digital Practice Areas
RALEIGH, N.C. (Sept. 7, 2017) – French/West/Vaughan (FWV) one of the nation’s largest independently-owned public relations, advertising and digital marketing agencies, today announced six new executive hires and eight promotions.
Evan Burkhart has joined FWV as an account supervisor. Burkhart is a former professional cyclist who also worked in communications capacities for the Mountain Khakis by Jittery Professional Cycling and BikeReg.com/Cannondale Elite Cycling teams, and the specialty ski and cycling outfitter, VOmax. Most recently, he was with PR agencies MSL and Lewis PR where he worked in Lewis’s Sydney, Australia, and Boston offices. Burkhart is an alumnus of the UNC School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
Mackenzie Smith has been hired as Account Supervisor for the agency’s pet and veterinary division, FWV Fetching. Smith comes to FWV from Hill & Knowlton in Chicago, where her clients included Banfield Pet Hospital, 4-H, Target, Sunrise Senior Living and Yahoo! Smith earned her degree from DePaul University.
Brian O’Connor has joined the FWV digital team in the role of Digital Media Manager. O’Connor serves as programmatic SME, oversees paid search, and contributes to all client accounts involving active digital media plans. His previous experience includes Howard/Merrell, MaxPoint and Adwerx. A native New Yorker, O’Connor is an alumnus of State University of New York – Fredonia.
Dana Moody joins as Senior Account Executive on the growing Travel & Tourism team. Moody previously held the position of Senior Publicity Specialist for JCPenney. Prior to that, she worked in New York City with 360 Public Relations and Zeno Group. Originally from the greater Dallas area, Moody is a graduate of The University of Oklahoma.
Danni Dichito has joined the Travel & Tourism team as Account Executive. Prior to FWV, Dichito was with MMI Public Relations where she supported accounts including Kroger, Mims Distributing, Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic and the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association. Dichito is a Charlotte native and a graduate of East Carolina University.
Hallie Altman joins FWV as an Account Coordinator, also in the agency’s Travel & Tourism practice. Altman previously completed an internship with FWV prior to graduating from the UNC School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
