Fear Free Selects Calmz® Anxiety Relief System as Partner in its Preferred Product Program

Special Offer Available to Fear Free Certified Veterinary Professionals

CARROLLTON, Texas (January 9, 2017) – Animal Health Technologies announced today that its Calmz® Anxiety Relief System, a wearable, drug-free canine anxiety solution, is now available to Fear Free certified professionals for purchase at a discounted rate through the Fear Free Preferred Product Program (PPP).

After noticing how stress and anxiety were negatively impacting the number of cancelled veterinary appointments, Dr. Marty Becker, “America’s Veterinarian,” developed the Fear Free Initiative with the goal of reducing feelings of stress and resulting in better veterinary experiences for all involved, including pets, owners and veterinary health care teams.

“Innovative, non-invasive approaches to easing fear, anxiety and stress in pets are essential to fulfilling the Fear Free promise,” said Dr. Marty Becker. “I love how Calmz activates so many of the pet’s senses while giving him or her a feeling of security during trips to the veterinarian, during thunderstorms or other fear-triggering events, or just going about the activities of daily life.”

In addition to being selected to participate in the preferred product program, Calmz will also contribute five percent of all program purchases to the advancement of the Fear Free Program.

“We look forward to seeing an increase in the number of dogs and pet owners that are able to visit their veterinarians with less anxiety as part of the Fear Free Initiative,” said Bob Van Schoick, President of Animal Health Technologies. “The Calmz® Anxiety Relief System is a great fit for the Fear Free Preferred Product Program, as it was developed by a pet owner looking for a solution to better manage his dog’s daily battle with anxiety.”

Fear Free Certified veterinary professionals and clinics can purchase the Calmz® Anxiety Relief System from their distributor of choice and qualify for a special promotion offered through the Fear Free Program. Veterinarians who purchase one of each size (6) will receive one free Calmz system in their size preference.

“We see a constant flow of dogs that are fearful of Florida’s frequent thunderstorms and loud noises,” said Lisa Radosta, DVM, DACVB, a board certified veterinary behaviorist with Florida Veterinary Behavior Service in West Palm Beach, Florida. “We have seen positive results in several of our storm phobic patients. In fact, one previously phobic dog can sleep through a storm while wearing the Calmz vest.”
