Embrace Celebrates 10 Years of Insuring America’s Pets
CLEVELAND (October 4, 2016) – Embrace Pet Insurance celebrates its 10th anniversary, along with its nearly 100 employees, more than 77,000 pets and countless pet parents. The company will celebrate throughout the week, looking back at the tremendous growth over the past decade, from a two person start up to a six-time NorthCoast 99 Winner that prides itself on its customer relationship experience, and unique workplace culture.
An idea became a winner in May 2003, when co-founders, Laura Bennett and Alex Krooglik were part of a team that won the Wharton Business Plan Competition. Their pet insurance plan beat out technology and biotechnology companies and a business was launched. Over the next three years Bennet and Krooglik refined plans, secured funding and cultivated strategic partnerships to launch Embrace and sell their first policy, October 10, 2006.
