BodeVet Hires New Clinical Coordinator and Lead Apheresis Technician
ROCKVILLE, MD. (March 1, 2018) – BodeVet, a developer of advanced transfusion treatment options for the veterinary industry, is pleased to announce the recent hire of Jessica (Jessie) Brown, LVT. Jessie will serve as the Clinical Coordinator & Lead Apheresis Technician at BodeVet. She has over 15 years of veterinary technical experience in specialty and emergency clinics, plus management and operational experience in creating and running a regional veterinary blood bank.

Jessie will be directly involved in the continued research and promotion around BodeVet’s first product, StablePlate RX™, which is the world’s first injectable freeze-dried platelet derived product. Each shelf-stable, hemostatic agent is tested to ensure its safety. Although it is primarily focused on canine and equine conditions, the company is also supporting work focused on endangered species.
Jessie’s most recent position was Personal Manager and Lead Technician Blood Bank Coordinator at Animal Emergency Clinic in Greenville, South Carolina. Prior to that, she was a Veterinary Technician at VCA Northwest Veterinary Specialty and Emergency in Portland, Oregon. Her professional tenure also includes the roles of Veterinary Technician at Oregon Veterinary Specialty, Animal Emergency Clinic and Spartanburg Veterinary Emergency Clinic.
Jessie holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of South Carolina-Upstate and an associate’s degree in veterinary technology from Cedar Valley Community College. She has research experience with canines and sea turtles.
