Bideawee Anticipates Record-Breaking Fundraiser Gala at Ziegfeld Ballroom on June 5

New York, New York, May 28, 2019 – Bideawee, one of our country’s first no-kill animal welfare organizations that serves metropolitan New York and Long Island, has been busy preparing for its largest charity event of the year – the annual Bideawee Ball. The Ball is held annually to raise critical funds through ticket sales, as well as live and silent auctions.

Last year’s event raised $630,000, which allowed Bideawee to rescue and find homes for more than 1,500 homeless dogs and cats. Highlights from this year’s silent and live auctions include a 8-night Portofino and Milan excursion; tickets to “Pretty Woman: The Musical” and a backstage meet and greet with its stars, Andy Karl and Orfeh; tickets to see Australian comedian, Hannah Gadsby-Douglas; 4 tickets to The Daily Show, the opportunity to be included in a Bideawee ad on a Times Square billboard, and a range of premiere sports ticket packages.

“Our dedicated staff, Board and volunteers have been working hard to make this the most successful event in Bideawee’s history,” said Leslie Granger, President and CEO at Bideawee. “We are excited to have notable attendees including television personalities, professional athletes and pet influencers joining us to show their support and help us raise awareness about the importance of animal adoption. My goal is to double our pet adoptions by 2021 to save more homeless animals, and help them find their forever family.”

Hundreds of socially active animal lovers and their four-legged friends are expected to attend the black tie optional Ball. All funds raised by ticket sales will directly benefit Bideawee’s work rescuing, caring for and placing homeless animals with the people who love them. Tickets can be purchased at www.bideawee.org/Gala2019-LP For more information about Bideawee, visit its website and follow the organization on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.
